Background
TK05 is located on National Road 72 in Trapeang Phlong, Tboung Khmum Province, close to the Vietnam border crossing. This relatively short stretch of road is home to several major online scam compounds, most of which have emerged relatively recently. This includes Grand Golden Casino, Rongxingdi Resort World, and Xa Mat Casino (profiled here, here, and here).
Construction only began in September 2024, yet the compound has grown rapidly.
The site is highly secure, with walls topped by multiple layers of razor wire. The entrance to the compound is controlled by teams of security guards.
In September 2025, an appeal circulated on Telegram channels from the mother of a man alleged to be trapped in Site TK05. In her posts she said her son had a mental illness and hearing impairment, among other disabilities, and appealed to law enforcement to intervene.
