Background

Hengtai is a relatively new compound, built between 2024 and 2025. It has appeared in various online scam industry Telegram channels over the last year. Posters have complained about conditions in the compound, with long hours, corporal punishment, and high ‘compensation’ fees demanded when people request to leave.
