Around the same time, posts emerged on Telegram channels used by scam industry insiders indicating that the property was taken over by scam operators. Cyber Scam Monitor is aware of several people being rescued from this site.

The post below tells the story of one man who was offered a job to carry gold and cash to Cambodia. Struggling with debt, he took the job, expecting to return within a week. According to the man, he was instead trafficked to Bavet, where he was beaten and held captive. He was later sold to Mondulkiri Hotel, where he said several hundred Chinese nationals worked in scams targeting people in China.
