Background
Site BM05 is an unnamed three-story property that was raided during a crackdown on online crime sites in July 2025. There is limited information available on this property, which was constructed sometime between April 2023 and the time of the raid. Images of the property show that all its balconies are caged.
Incidents
On 16 July 2025, Cambodian law enforcement raided the property during a nationwide crackdown on online crime sites. According to media reports, 271 Indonesians were arrested and a large amount of equipment was seized, including 341 computers and 352 phones. The raid was led by Banteay Meanchey governor Oum Reatrey. According to pro-government Fresh News, the first and second floors contained dormitories, and the third floor concealed the ‘online operations area’.
Local media Kampuchea Thmey reported that, as the raid was ongoing, authorities blocked reporters’ access, only stating that the operation was carried out in accordance with government orders and coordinated by the prosecutor. There were no further reports, and it is unclear what happened following this raid.
