Incidents

In July 2024, the family of an Indonesian man filed a report that a family member was being held by an online scam company in Poipet. The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh followed up in late July and facilitated his release and repatriation. The man’s case was reported in various media outlets, and a video report by CNN Indonesia revealed he was held at Limda Hotel.

Which Actors and Companies Have Been Linked to Limda Hotel?

Limda Hotel was built by a construction company that has various property developments across Poipet. Posts can be found on the company’s Facebook page advertising the hotel for rent between 2020 and 2021. It is unclear who is managing the property now and who was in charge at the time the Indonesian man was rescued.
