In October 2022, Cambodian immigration police raided the property and found evidence of online gambling or scam operations, removing over 270 people, mostly Chinese. The raid came after a Chinese man messaged the Minister of Interior claiming that he was being illegally detained. Many of those removed by police held no passports.

Dyvith Hotel was subject to a police raid in September 2022. Almost 250 people from several countries were arrested on suspicion of involvement in online gambling. In March and June 2023, two foreign nationals under the age of 30 died at the hotel, police recorded the deaths as heart attacks.
